Customer Review: Keep yourself cool when the heat is on

I purchased this fan for my wife because she is always complaining she is hot in the summer. We live in an old house and even though it has central air, the circulation is terrible. The blower motor just can't push enough air, the runs are long and there are not enough vents to provide for distribution of the cooled air. Particularly in the master bedroom because it is built over what is our three season room. This is an enclosed patio area with no heating or air conditioning so it gets real cold in winter and real hot in summer. This adds an additional burden to the cooling system.
So I bought her this fan because it has a very powerful amount of air movement, can oscillate and has a remote control to turn it off and control fan speeds.
The only minor minor negative point is that oscillation is controlled via a push down, pull up lever instead of with the remote. So if you want the fan to oscillate, you have to walk over to it to engage the oscillation. That should be no problem for a healthy person but could be problematic for someone like my wife who has difficulty walking because of a previously broken pelvis and being legally blind.
But she hasn't complained about this small point and is totally happy with this unit. It does have three speeds but we normally only use the lowest speed since medium blows a gale and high will make for a mini hurricane in the room. You had better have everything loose battened down before trying high speed on this fan. Mount a pair of them on each wing of a glider and you will have an electric airplane!
