I've had several of Lasko fans and have them scattered throughout the house. For the price you can't beat it. Three speeds, quiet enough for me and I even put a couple near the dog beds and they love the cool breeze. For $20, a great deal and my other ones have lasted years and easy to clean and disassemble.Customer Review: Good for the price

I purchased this item as new. The only problem I have with the fan is that when I opened the box after receiving it, I noticed that the portion of the plastic housing (that covers the motor that drives the fan), where it is supposed to be attached by a screw to the back of the motor that drives the fan was broken off at that location around the screw. It seem to me that this was a returned defective product by a previous customer (My opinion). I would have returned the product to Amazon.com but I was in dire need of a fan at the time, and it does not cost much, so I kept it. I just hope that Amazon.com is not in the habit of reselling items as new products when these items have been returned as defective by previous customers.
