Customer Review: Remote not as useful as I'd like

You can use the remote to change the fan speed and turn the oscillation on and off, but you can't turn the fan on and off with the remote (unless you want to try to set the sleep timer when you can't see what you're doing).
The fan itself works very well, and I really like the tower shape since I have it sitting in a doorway. It doesn't move as much air as the Lasko #4924 High Velocity Blower, but it's a LOT quieter on high speed.

I bought this item for my dorm room. So far I haven't been able to use it there for school doesnt start back for another 20 days but for the last month it has been a nice addition to my bed room at home. I run it every day and so far it hasnt let me down. For a girl it was a new experience to assemble the stand, but I got it done. I was surprised at how easy the assembling was!Customer Review: A good product that needs some tweaking

I am enjoying the Lasko Wind Tower. It is quiet and moves air quite well in a medium sized room. It would be even nicer if it had a little larger turn radius. My wife complains about the loud high pitched on/off button and that it hurts her ears but I don't find it that bad. The beepers at McDonald's are louder than that. I would buy another if I needed an additional unit.Customer Review: Quiet and efficient

This is a great tower fan. It moves a fair amount of air at max speed and can be left all night with disturbing on the lowest setting.
My only gripe with it is the built quality being average (not bad, just average), but for the price, I guess this is to be expected. Still leaving a star off a perfect score.

Very quiet and nice cool breeze. Just as advertised...love it! The only problem for me is that when you move the fan the bottom comes loose and it feels a little unstable. Highly recommend!
