well first off, I saw these at Lowe's for $20.
I was looking for those corner fans you put in the door frames to move air from one room to another. with one nail to wedge this unit at the top of the door frame this fan is perfect for that. its 3" width became a 3" height, and does the job perfectly. I don't know what the 1 star and 2 star complaints about noise and low air flow are about, this this is plenty powerful for a personal fan or as in my case, to move air from the hot one to the cold one. its just about silent too.

I use this fan at work. It's whisper-quiet, great-looking, takes up little table-top space, and works exceptionally well within 6 feet.

I bought this fan for my desk and it has met all my requirements. It's reasonably quiet and has a small footprint. And positioned about 18" away from where I sit it's very effective at it's low speed setting.
Make no mistake, this is a desk fan, not a room fan. For this it's perfect.
And finally, in response for those raters who mentioned it's too light and moves when it's turned on, the on-off button takes much less force if you press the outside edge - not the center.
I'm happy with it.

I truly appreciate the small footprint of this fan for my overcrowded desk. I love the fact that it keeps me cool without blowing paper all over the place. I haven't had any problems with anything getting blown around but I can definitely feel the cool air hitting me. The fan is also very quiet, you can barely hear it even when it's on it's highest setting. I also like that it has a button on the front to turn it on rather than a knob to turn or a switch on the back, i'd be knocking it over all the time.Customer Review: Just what I needed. I bought this to place on my desk at work. The office tends to get too hot for my liking. The small footprint of this fan makes it perfect for a desk. It can fit over in the corner and not take away room for other important things. I like the two speeds. The low speed is enough for me. I also like the oscillation. It makes a nice breeze in my office without blowing me over. It's also very quiet as to not bother me or anything else.
