I have a decent sized bedroom for a college student (probably 13x11) and a walk in closet. I live in an older house in Buffalo NY which has terrible insulation. Two giant windows which let cold air in as if I had them open. And when I run this heater, the room stays consistantly comfortable. I haven't gotten into the coldest nights yet but what i've been doing is setting it on high to warm up the room, then just leave it on low to maintain temperature and it does a fantastic job. Used this item for about 2-3 weeks last month and my electric bill increased about 8 dollars more than average. As it gets colder though, I will have to use it even more which will definitely mean higher electric bills. I give this item a 4.8/5 stars.Customer Review: A lot of heater for a little price!

The Lasko 754200 is a great little heater for the price. Some other reviews criticize the noise, but considering how much output this little guy has, I was personally surprised at how quiet it was. (Yes, it does make a subtle fan noise) I use it for heating up by bathroom when I go to take a shower in the morning. I live in a very cold area and the bathroom can drop to under 50f which will open your eyes when you step out of the shower. I turn it on when I jump in the shower and five minutes later when I step out it is a toasty 65f+. My bathroom is about 40sq ft. It does all that it is advertised to do and more! Amazon's price is very competitive and about 30% lower than in the local retail stores. Overall, a great buy!Customer Review: Nice Little Heater

A well-designed, sturdy, easy-to-use heater, very reliable. It quickly heats a small room, without having to be set at the highest settings. It has four basic fan settings -- off, fan-only, low, and high. The other dial is the thermostat/temperature dial that can be set to a wide range (11 points) of temperature settings. After you reach your desired room temperature you can easily calibrate the thermostat to go on and off automatically to maintain it. It is small, reasonably quiet, and attractive and seems solidly built when picked up. I bought this at the end of the season last year and don't remember what I paid for it, but I believe it was under $20 -- a very good bargain. We have a total of five different brands of these fan driven, 1500W ceramic type heaters, and I would replace them all with this one I bought from Amazon. All put out a lot of heat, have good thermostats, are reliable with a lot of use... Why this one, it's quiet! The others are louder, and some a LOT louder. Only sight dig would be when the room is really cold, the motor seems very sluggish at star-up, but has never become an issue.
Price here at Amazon.com seems very reasonable, so combine it with some coffee, and have it shipped free. Really can add much more about something as mundane as a heater, but I'm happy with my quiet, mundane heater.
P.S. Lasko makes great floor fans too!

We bought this heater for the baby's room because we have contractors working in our house replacing some of the central air/heating system, so we wanted more consistent heating in her room. When we first used it, I had turned it up on the warmest setting and one fan level 2 and it was a bit too much for the small nursery, but now that we know which setting to use it on, it works really well. Keeps the room nice and toasty warm. One particularly cold day, I brought the heater down from the nursery to our much larger kitchen/family room and it did an awesome job at even heating the very large space although this heater is really meant for smaller rooms. Very happy with this product and would definitely buy again.
