Tools and Hardware Reviews of Life Gear LGTF38 LED Flashlight with LED Reading Lamp, NOAA Emergency AM/FM Radio with Alert and WeatherbandCustomer Review: Junk in Clamshell Packaging Summary: 1 Stars
This radio is junk. The tiny rechargable battery can only power the radio for about one minute. The radio tuning knob is very sensitive which makes it hard to tune to any frequency. But, the radio reception is not sensitive -- you have be next to the transmitter to get a signal. The selector slide switches for power source, AM/FM/Weather, and Weather Channel are cheap, imprecise, and will fail quickly. This radio is trash. DO NOT BUY!
Customer Review: Don't use in an emergency Summary: 1 Stars
Everything about this is cheap. It looks used, its thing flimsy plastic. The switch for the reading light doesn't work half of the time. The weather radio can't get anything (my other radios do). It doesn't function correctly when plugged into AC power. If you plug in AC power it turns off?! But if you remove the batteries it starts working. So you can't have batteries and AC at the same time.
Customer Review: Arrived damaged Summary: 1 Stars
This radio was a big disappointment. It arrived damaged. The digital clock/alarm/radio channel never worked. The display area doesn't show any numbers. It arrived broken. The ad claimed that it had cell phone recharging capacity. It does not. You have to send away (and pay shipping/handling) on the part. Why would I do that for a broken radio/flashlight? Hassle to return. Just say no.
Customer Review: Very Unhappy with Life Gear Summary: 1 Stars
After purchasing the radio, I attempted to order the AC adapter cord for this radio with little success.
They took my money, but I did not get a cord. I have just sent my second query - the first received no response.
Can't recommend the radio or Life Gear at all at the present time. I may change my mind if they will just send the silly cord.
Customer Review: Don't Waste Your Money or Time Buying This Summary: 1 Stars
This emergency flashlight was defective right out of the box! The alarm clock LED does not work, the reading lights cut in and out, and even worse, the all-important radio doesn't work. As other reviewers have noted, the device feels and looks shoddy, so I won't bother getting a replacement for this flashlight. I'll send this back tomorrow and hopefully Amazon will refund my money.
