Tools and Hardware Reviews of Perfect Tear Chrome Paper Towel Holder, Horizontal Wall-MountedCustomer Review: Great Space Saver Summary: 4 Stars
This towel holder has a plastic ratchet which will eventually wear down. Hopefully, this company will correct this problem in the future which will give it the fifth star. Reversing the direction of the new paper towel roll on an alternating basis will prolong this ratchet if this an important part of it for you. We have two holders, one in the kitchen and one in the laundry room Both are wall mounted in a vertical position. This saves us shelf space.
Customer Review: Still good when it breaks, great when it doesn't Summary: 4 Stars
Best part is that it's super easy to change out the rolls. Just slide the old one off and a new one back on. No unscrewing or anything.
Bought my first one 2 years ago. The ratchet broke within a day or two. But it still worked fine, just no ratchet so you had to use 2 hands to tear off a square.
Moved to a new apartment and got another one. I've had it for 4 months now and the ratchet is still working great.
Customer Review: Best Towel holder ever! Summary: 4 Stars
Perfect Tear Chrome Paper Towel Holder, Horizontal Wall-Mounted This is the greatest towel holder ever invented. It's very easy to slip on a roll of paper towels, but one sheet or several sheets can be removed with one hand. It is also very attractive with a sleek chrome finish, and fits neatly under a kitchen cabinet. I highly recomend it.
Customer Review: Papertowel holder that works! Summary: 4 Stars
I had this holder for about 3 years. The spring that holds the papertowel roll on broke so we ordered another one mainly because we like it and to match the screw mount holes. The first one was heavy, strong and good quality. The new one looks the same, but is about half the weight. We have had it for 2 months, so far so good!
It gets the towels off the counter and is easy to tear off a section with wet hands.
Customer Review: It's great, even after it breaks. Summary: 4 Stars
We really like it. It provides about the right amount of resistance to unroll and tear off each sheet.
The ratcheting mechanism was kind of loud to start with, but after a couple weeks, the ratchet must have broke. It still provides some resistance though, so it is still better than most holders. (and now that the ratchet doesn't work, it's not as loud)
