When I bought this, it was only $10.99, a price a bit too low for me to consider it to be a high quality product. Now, I don't often write reviews, and considering that I am writing a review for a paper towell holder on top of that means I thoroughly enjoy the product. It holds the towell roll tight and firm and gives a nice steady click as it turns. I attached it to my wall (you can hang it upside down or vertically) and it is amazing. AMAZING! I've used many many papertowel holders in my 60 years but none have even come close to giving me the joy I get from this model. Have you ever had to re-roll a papertowel roll after it flew to the floor having come off the holder or wall? That will never happen again. The ratcheting action lets you actually control with ONE HAND how many sheets come off the roll. It never fails,after using it a newbie says " Changing it takes as much time as typing the period at the end of this sentence! Ok, it's hard to get excited about a paper towel holder - but this one is about as good as you can get for the price. I've always preferred the "single arm" style rather than type with the two clips, which never hold very well and the roll of paper towels inevitably comes flying off at the worst moments. This model has a slight resistance which keeps the roll from spinning out of control when you're trying to tear off a single sheet, and it works great! It looks good, works as advertised, it's easy to install, and the price is right. Can't ask for more!Customer Review: Perfection

Researched several days for an attractive chrome towel holder to go with a new chrome kitchen faucet and granite counter top. Took a chance on this one despite the anchor on only one end and the ratcheting action, but it works perfectly. Better than I could have hoped for in my wildest dreams. Beautiful, easy to use and the rod stays perfectly straight after initially tightening it. Had no idea a towel holder could exude such a feeling of pleasure. If it were a woman, it would be quiet and sexy, a man, and it would be smart and courteous.Customer Review: At last , this is the product I was searching for!

My towel bar search became a mission. I bought and returned 4 types of towel racks including Oxo. The advertising on this one states 'one way ratcheting' mechanism which held me off as it seemed that rewinding would be a problem if you pulled off too much towel. Not a problem, the ratchet works both ways just like the countertop Kamenstein.
Easy to install.
Easy to load.....very easy!
Easy to use.
Looks good.
Out of the way, countertop is clear again.
