I purchased this light for my mother who has macular degeneration and the very bad eyesight that goes with it. She loved it so much that I just ordered the second one for her so that she can keep one in the kitchen and one on the stand next to her chair. She loves it and it works perfectly for her needs. She also used it last weekend to read a menu in a restaurant and was very pleased to be able to see everything clearly. The light makes it just perfect for times when she's away from her reading light.
