I have been looking for a product like this for years to connect with a warning light to indicate a drop in room temperature which would mean a furnace problem. It works great for this and costs only about 50% more than the Winter Watchman type products which have never functioned reliably for me. I can also use this product to energize a space heater in winter and a fan in summer to control ambient temperature. The product is easy to program and has been very accurate in temperature indication. The screen alternately displays the time and the current temperature. The set point temperature and "heat" or "cool" mode is shown in the background. I love this item.Customer Review: Awesome!!

I have a half basement and it only has one vent from my central HVAC and during the winter if it's "comfortable" down there then it is steaming upstairs. I bought an oil filled heater to augment the HVAC in that room. The problem with that alone is that eventually it got too hot in the room and I had to turn it on and off all the time.
I purchased the WIN100 thermostat and plugged the oil filled heater into it and programmed the temperature to a comfortable level. Then I walked away. This thing turns on and off the heater for me and keeps the room at a comfortable temperature level.
This thing is awesome!

This device is way more than I expected.
All I was looking for was an accurate digital thermostat to turn my space heater on and off because the built in thermostats never work very well.
This unit works just like a regular multi day programmable home thermostat.
It has a 4 timer weekday setting, with temporary and permanent HOLD.
And a 4 timer weekend setting, with temporary and permanent HOLD.
For better accuracy, try not to plug the unit into an exterior wall outlet. Sometimes the outlets have a slight draft, and the thermostat may not register correctly.

I've been using two of these to control two space heaters. They are working great with no problems.
This is essentially a programmable thermostat, very similar to what you would use for central heat and air but it controls power to its outlet for a plug-in heater or small air conditioner. I use it with the heaters to keep the room comfortable during the day, but essentially turn the heaters off at night by setting a low temperature.
It also has a sliding On Off switch which you can use to force power to your appliance off. (In the On position, the thermostat controls power to the appliance.)

I bought one of these thermostats to use with a Dimplex Electric Stove CS1205. Absolutely amazing temperature control! The stove is either on or off, high or low. With the thermostat, it controls turning it on and offf instead of me getting up in the night to do it. I am purchasing another one for a heater in another room. It's easy to program this device, and the override makes it easy to adjust for guests who need it a little warmer/cooler. Truly a money saving device. I expect the two thermostats will pay for themselves this winter alone. This would make a nice gift for those with on/off heaters and air conditioners.
