Tools and Hardware Reviews of Mr Clean Magic Mop Eraser RefillCustomer Review: These universal heads do not fit the original squeegee mr. clean mops as original pads do! Summary: 1 Stars
These replacement pads do not fit as the original pads do on the mr. clean squeegee mop we have. It says universal and I guess it is but you will need a drill to fit it to our mop and 30 to 40 minutes and that is if you have knowledge of how to retrofit. After this they fit but then they do not squeeze out well so they are not the same as the originals. It is cheaper and better to just get an old school industrial wood handle mop with with a plastic screw clamp head for the cotton string heads that are washable and replaceable after they wear out in 20 years, if you wash regularly, plus they cover more area. You will need a handles wringer that goes on the square bucket. Just keep outside upside down and hang mop up out there as well. These sponge mops never did a great job anyhow, they stay dirty, just spread dirt and they fall apart after a month! Wet your string mops, wring out wash floor area, wring out, change water, repeat till clean and then wash your mop head in the washing machine or keep changing water and wringing out.
Use your old dirty water on your lawn or plantings!
Hard work is not what is killing America!
Customer Review: HORRIBLE Summary: 1 Stars
I love the magic erasers so much when they came out that I called customer service and asked them to consider making a mop. Imagine my delight when they did. I grabbed it up and all the refills they had. Well no product could be further from the original than this. Not only are the replacements ill fitting, the mechanism is awkward, cumbersome and require the strength of Mr. Clean himself to squeeze the water out of it. Worst of all is that the eraser part is not the same material as the original hand held ones in the box. It is just a piece of foam. I called customer service and the person who answered was totally blasé. It appears that the people who make the originals do not make these mop "erasers." Someone wanted to make a quick buck. Do not give them yours.
Customer Review: A waste of money. Summary: 1 Stars
This mop and refill is horrible. Even when the mop was brand new, it did not clean the floors very well. It worked just okay on my hardwood floors. But it did a horrible job on my kitchen ceramic floors. The sponge/eraser material does not lift or pick up anything, it just moves the dirt around. Forgot about trying to clean any grease stains on the floor near the stove, I ended up having to get down on my hands and knees since the mop was doing the job.
After about a month, the mop sponge broke off and I couldn't even replace it since the refill connectors are made of very cheap plastic.
Customer Review: Useless, does not fit my Mr. Clean Mop Summary: 1 Stars
This mop replacement does not fit the Mr. Clean Mop I bought at Fleet Farm. Spent 25 minutes to get the refill on according to the 3 different possible directions. No way to make it fit, the metal was either too long or too short. Ridiculous. I will be returning the two refills I bought. I cannot find any other replacements for My Mr.Clean Mop. The mop was expensive, too, and I only got to use it once with the original mophead.
At least I can return the refills.
Customer Review: Totally unusable. Summary: 1 Stars
I bought the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Mop months ago, and was pleased with it. Since then I've been looking for replacement heads whenever I go shopping, and finally found one for the first time the other day. Today when I tried to put it on the mop it took me a full 20 minutes and the help of my husband to get the old head to slide off. Trying to slide the new one on was even more difficult and finally I gave it up as not worth it.
