I purchased this a while back to use around the house with two different types of filers. Thanks to New Jersey Transit I have to be subjected to daily doses for toxic Diesel Fumes on the train from Hoboken to Secaucus Junction going through the tunnel there is no ventilation. It's a mini gasing of the people, similar to the Nazi's first generation gas trucks.
Thankfully, I did some research on what type of protecton each filter provides. I now wear this for that one segment of the trip, and take it off after the air clears. Since using this mask, my daily headaches have subsided. I also can now read in peace without choking and coughing like the other passengers. It's amazing to me that the EPA doesn't investigate the poisoning of the passengers with carcinogins by NJ Transit, but then again they are a bunch of government sponsered union workers that really don't seem to care.
This version is rated for organic vapors, i.e. diesel fuel. I've also used the other filter for fiberglass roofing, and even ripping a rug out covered with mold after a small flood. The fit is exellent, and will work on practically small children (my 2 1/2 year old like to play with daddys mask) to large adult faces. It's soft and well designed to form an excellent seal, much less picky then my scuba diving masks.
So, until NJ Transit stops poisoning its passengers, or a class action law suit is started against them, I will contine to look like an idiot while going through the unventalated tunnel and breath easy.
