The magnet seems strong enough, I don't think it will fall off. My car key measures a hair under 3" long. If your key is longer than 3" it's not going in this. Four stars rating here because I just got it - waiting to see how well the plastic holds up... I am reasonably sure that this will save my butt the next time I lock myself out of my car though. >.<Customer Review: Large is not large enough

With a description of "large", I didn't bother to check before ordering. This keycase is not large enough for today's size car keys. It wasn't deep enough, nor long enough for my wife's 2006 Volvo, nor my 2007 Chrysler key.Customer Review: Solid product; works as advertised

Bought 7 to pass along to family members in case any get locked out of our beach condo. Product is fine, but finding a metal spot on your car anymore makes this a tough item to really use! Under the hood is about the only place but you need a key to get into your car to get under the hood anymore.
