Here in Orlando,fl people homes doors are being kicked in in broad daylight and being held hostage or killed while they clean out your home. this bar is fantastic in holding your front door closed ,they cant kick your door open with this bar.. i have tile floors in front of my door inside.its works great on tile. i cant speak for other floors. but this and the alarmed wedge are excellent stopping power against home invaders and it gives me time to get my gun for my unwanted guest.Customer Review: Peace of mind

This is so much better than jamming a chair underneath the doorknob, but is the same principal. I had bought one locally and was satisfied enough to order a second from Amazon. Fortunately, no one has tried to get in either protected door which would be a true test. The bar is easy to set up and easy to use. Mine rests on bare wood floor and both doors are standard doors. The feature for using with sliding doors is a nice extra, though I can't rate it for that.Customer Review: It keeps the kid in!

This product does what it says it will do. It's a no-muss, easy install, and it definitely keeps the door closed and keeps my preschooler (who can unlock our patio door) IN. It's also easy to pull out when we need to use the door.
EDIT: The plastic foot on this stopper broke recently when it fell out of the patio door (I assume). Seems like it should be able to hold up better than that, but it's probably glueable and still a good product.

I bought this door brace for the back door. I wanted some reinforecment in addition to the deadbolt. The brace does what its supposed to do. But, you should take into consideration the type of floor in front of the door - it could make a big difference. The brace has rubber on its end to keep it from sliding. However, if there is carpet in front of the door where you wish to use it, the brace could slide on the carpet. Other than that, it works great.Customer Review: 'Master' Master Lock!

A superb product that really does "lock" your door when you're inside. I use it in my apartment, where building workers have used building keys to enter without even knocking! They cannot do that now. I love my Master Lock -- but wish it had a key-lock mechanism so I could lock it when I leave home. Still, I highly recommend it as an extra measure of security when you're at home. It would be hard to push it in without destroying the door.
