Tools and Hardware Reviews of Master Lock 4689Q TSA Accepted Padlocks with Keys 4-Pack (Colors May Vary)Customer Review: Poorly designed Summary: 1 Stars
The Master Lock 4689Q TSA Accepted Padlocks extremely difficult to lock and very small. The locking mechanism in one of them actually came apart when I tried locking it. I had to scramble to pick up tiny metal balls and spring that flew out before my dog would eat them. Master is a well known and respected brand and I am disappointed these locks are not made from the strength and quality we have come to expect from Master.
Customer Review: Garbage Summary: 1 Stars
I was excited when these arrived. Small, but look much more solid than other luggage type locks. The first lock I opened was somewhat aggravating. When you try to lock it again, the key must be turned to the unlock position otherwise it will not seat all the way in to lock. The second lock I opened came apart literally in my hands. The key pulled the entire internal lock mechanism out. With it, all of the key pins fell all over the floor. Absolute garbage. Would not recommend for even the slightest bit of security.
Customer Review: Can't choose the colour? Summary: 1 Stars
I'd love to order a couple sets of these...however, I don't think I would ever stop hearing from my coworkers if I showed up with pink locks on my luggage. Is it REALLY that difficult to allow people to choose the colour? I do own one of these same locks I bought at an airport for $5; well worth the extra cost to avoid getting a bizarre colour. I'm sure they would sell far more of these if you were given a choice.
Customer Review: Beware Summary: 1 Stars
I ordered these thinking they would be the blue ones shown on the photo. Read the fine print. I got pink locks. I don't want pink, now I am stuck paying $11.99 + shipping and handling because to return them would not be cost effective and there is no guarantee that I would get the color I would like. What a stupid thing.
Customer Review: Not Worth the time or money Summary: 1 Stars
My 14 year old daughter broke the one I gave her to show her how to unlock and lock them. If they break that easily, then why even bother putting them on luggage. The locks are cheaply made and virtually worthless. I'm replacing them with Samsonite locks that have a five star rating.
