i got the bamboo toilet seat to replace a wooden one. first it is easyer to keep clean becuse unlike the wooden one it dose not absorb moister, as a toilet seat you can imagen what kind. it is as smooth as a plastic seat but not so cold on your behind as synthetic seats. also the nickle hinges do not leave a green stain on the toilet, another problem i had with wooden seats becuse they almost always come with brass hardwear. i have bamboo cutting boards as well and exspect this to be a very durabe seat, and will proby put one in the second bath as well.Customer Review: Well made

This item arrived in excellent condition. The hinge area does appear to be made from glued sections of wood, so I'll have to see how long it holds out. It looks like it will last. I will edit this post after I start using it.
I highly recommend separately purchasing rubber bumpers to place under the seat to take some of the impact and protect the finish longer. I have white bumpers, but they work well and are not seen unless the seat is lifted up.

Just ordered this for the guest bathroom. I have no fashion sense or any skills at interior design but I decided to pick this out since it was a darker color. My wife told me that it looked good with the bathroom decor. She told me it holds up well and has a very elegant look to it. So I guess I did something right for a change. :)Customer Review: Great

This was a great find. These toilet seats are beautiful and will make your bathroom more appealing. The seat is very smooth and does not get as cold as the synthetic ones. It's hard to get excited about a toilet seat, but this bamboo seat with nickel hinges is just the ticket. Looks elegant, is beautifully made, easy to clean, and does its job well! I'll buy one for every bathroom in the house.
