I purchased a new home in august that came with a fridge that used one of these filters. I noticed when I would get water from the fridge water dispensers it would always taste metallic. Then one day the change filter light came on so I bought one of these filters and now the water from the fridge tastes great. These things really do work! This filter is billed on the site as "cyst reducing." It's the same type of filter that I've used in my refrigerator for the last 4 years, so maybe this feature has been added? The product was delivered in a timely fashion and arrived in great shape. The model number I ordered was different from the one I received but it works well. Maybe I received an updated model. This year the price I paid for the product was lower than last year but the shipping was higher.
