The PuriClean II filter is well worth the price. For around $35 a year, the filter improves taste, eliminates odors, and removes contaminants such as: Lead, Atrzine, Lindane, Benzine, Carbofuran, Chlorine, Mercury, Asbestos, and others. Some people bypass their filters, but it just isn't worth it. $35 is a small price to pay for the benefits of this filter. Amazon has it for less than $35 shipped, which is a great deal.Customer Review: Fast service. reliable product

Without the Maytag water filter our water tastes bitter from the high iron and chlorine content. Unit is easily installed in upper part of refrigerator. Plug and play as they say! It does what it says on the tin!
There's not much choice out there for this type of filter. Everyone on the net seems to be selling the exact same one. This filter works perfectly and lasts for about 6 months before it clogs up. My fridge gets heavy usage so 6 months is acceptable.
