Customer Review: Best household gadget I ever bought!

I recently purchased this product to prepare a home for an elderly relative returning from the hospital who hadn't been able to clean in some time. I couldn't have been happier with the performance and results and would most highly recommend this steamer to anyone - I am also very hard to please! I'd estimate that it cut my cleaning time by 2/3 and I used it on every surface of the house, with the exception of rugs. I cleaned fiberglass shower/bath stalls, glass shower doors and tracks, porcelain commodes, faucets and sinks, mirrors, wood cabinetry and baseboards, walls, stove exterior, linoleum, and even telephones. The fixtures of the home I cleaned are 27 years old, and they sparkled like new. Everyone who knew the home and saw it after cleaning commented on the results.
Pros are the unit is lightweight and easy to transport, the steam cord is extra long, it is easy to fill, the steam lasts and lasts, quick heatup time, steam can be in bursts or continuous, extra long power cord, and overall very sturdy. Cons are that changing attachments involves lining up a groove that's very hard to see and a certain amount of force. However, I really didn't change the brushes and used the unit to steam the dirt/grime to the point that it would lift easily with the aid of a scrub brush or cloth sometimes in conjunction with a spray cleaner. Other than that I really did not see any downsides to this tool and I am going to purchase a second one for my own home.

Pros:Cleans everything, including floors and all surfaces. GREAT on bathtub and commodes! I use a dry towel to wipe so no streaking occurs on my wood floors. (I do this with all cleaners on my floor) All other floors, it dries in minutes to a great clean shine. You can feel the clean!
Steam lasts along time. 48 oz of water produces a vast amount of steam.
Multiple uses, minimal amount of water, but lots of steam. Have used it in every room. Wonderful to clean fixtures, mirrors, sinks, floor, bathrooms...everything feels clean and helps with germs.
Quick and easy!
*What convinced me to purchase it-- Reviews and a demonstration on Youtube.* Had tried my sister's Bisell steam mop and loved it, but wanted attachments to clean more surfaces other than floors.*
Cons: None so far. Others said it was loud, but the only place that seems loud is in one of my small bathrooms.
Would like more suggestions for attachments, but by trial and error I have discovered to take off the long tube and shorten to utilize in the bathroom. *Would like another cleaning cloth to place over attachments in the floor. I use a micro-fiber one and attach it to the floor attachment when the one provided is dirty.
Have used 8 times and purchased a few weeks ago, can't wait to try it outside. Friend at church purchased one after I did, and hasn't stopped steaming. We compare what we have steamed, both of us love it!

This machine is the best! My neighbor lent me her SteamFast model and I knew I just had to get a steam cleaner. The brushes (which are included in this model McCulloch MC1275) are great for cleaning the grout between the tile floors. This was my number one reason for purchasing this machine. I love the fact that I will never have to use my mop again. I use the squeegee on our glass shower doors and it is really helpful for cleaning windows. Also I used it to steam the wrinkles out of our new curtains, worked perfectly. I prefer the McCulloch to the SteamFast SF275 (which is the model my neighbor lent me but both are made by the same company) as it comes with more accessories and a longer hose which helps when mopping. Additionally it is really wonderful not to use cleaner any longer, which makes our house a little more green. Also it helps with my husbands allergies as it kills germs and dust mites.
The only con is that you have to change the cloth pad while mopping - to make sure your floor is as clean as possible. This machine picks up the funk of 40,000 years so the first few times I just used extra washcloths and they were easy to swap out and I don't see it as a huge con

I purchased the McCulloch steam cleaner after reading the Amazon reviews.
It has lots of little attachments and I thought it would be difficult to assemble but it was very easy and took just minutes. I mainly wanted to use this in the bathrooms but found all kinds of things that it is perfect for. First, the bathrooms. I started with the shower and found that it blasted away years of gunk in the grout that I never could get clean with chemical cleaners.I also used it on the glass shower door which was pretty effective. I think I like it the most for the toilet. You really feel like it is disinfecting and the porcelain just shines. My husband must do a little dance everytime he pees so needless to say I was impressed with how it gets all the little areas under the seat. The floors were next and with a quick change to the floor attachment I was in business. It was perfect. I also used it on my sealed hardwood floors and they look great.
I agree with the other reviewers that the steam action is very loud so I just popped in my iPod earbuds and was all set. I have not found any negatives about the unit so far. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who is looking for that deep cleaning and sanitizing without using any chemicals. You don't get that nice fresh scent like you do if you use your Clorox but I sure feel better putting my butt down on that wonderfully disinfected toilet seat.

I mainly purchased this steam cleaner for detailing my vehicles and cleaning upholstery. Upon opening the package and removing the product the first thing I noticed was the construction of the product, the cleaner and all the accessories do feel "heavy-duty" considering the price. I feel they will hold up to normal wear and tear rather well. After reading the instructions I used the product to detail the floor and leathers seats in one of my vehicles, I mainly used the triangle brush. I was amazed at how well this machine worked on cleaning the floors and seats. I feel it did a awesome job. That being said, this is a $100 steam cleaner, I did have to go over some areas repeatedly to get out some stains, but it did get them out. The other thing you need with this product is patience. You get about 2 square feet of cleaning done at a time with the triangle brush before you run out of "hot" steam, it does give off steam the entire time or "continuous steam" if you depress the trigger, but I found it didn't clean as well. So my pattern was clean for 30 sec or so, then wipe the area I had cleaned with a cloth to remove dirt brought up by steam, by then the machine was ready to emit "hot" steam again. Also before steaming an area, purge the machine on a towel of some kind. This will prevent saturation of the item your cleaning. Overall I think this steam cleaner does a great job for the money.
