The Miele S4210 Antares offers a convenient six-position dial suction control. Controls range from 200 watts to 1200 watts. The STB 205-3 Turbobrush is ideal for cut pile and gives the carpet an excellent finish. The SBB 300-3 Parquet Floorbrush makes sure that tile and wood floors are cleaned thoroughly, but gently. The ergonomic handle makes vacuuming a breeze, keeping the strain off your wrist. The Vortex Motor System is developed and produced in the Miele factories in Germany. A real power pack with 1200-watt performance, it is designed for optimal power usage through the airflow for great cleaning performance with superior dust intake. Despite the impressive power of the Miele S4210 Antares's high-output motor, this vacuum cleaner is remarkably quiet. Miele's thoughtfully designed motor suspension and unique motor seal mean you'll be able to hear the phone ringing and the radio playing. Sealed System construction features Miele's Super Air Clean filter that retains 99.95% of particles down to 0.5 of a micron and 94% of particles down to 0.3 of a micron. The filter lasts as long as five dust bags. The 3.5-quart capacity Intensive Clean Plus dust bag provides 15% improved filtration and 20% longer suction performance. Impact foil prevents sharp-edged objects, such as pine needles, glass and sand, from penetrating the bag. Automatic dust bag closure ensures hygienic removal and disposal. The Miele S4210 Antares vacuum cleaner also includes a natural bristle dusting brush, upholstery nozzle and a crevice tool. We bought ours over a year ago and I love it more everyday. Quiet and powerful. With this vacuum you have to learn what settings work best for your individual needs. To me, that is the whole trick. We have hard floors with some wall to wall as well and two cats. Have had no problem getting all of the cat hair up at all. Also, there is no smell or particulate discharge from the effective filtration/HEPA system. My favorite feature is the way the hard floor head swivels so that you do not have to wrench your arms into different positions. 7 year warranty on all Miele's gives great piece of mind. In any case, I am now searching for my second Miele.
