I purchased this desk for my computer, along with the matching file cart...in January! Here it is April, and I am just now getting the job done. I told myself that I would never buy another piece of furniture that I had to put together myself but for the price and the looks, I took a chance with this one. I have to say, putting the desk together was MUCH easier than putting the file cart together! I was amazed at how quick and easy it was to assemble. As with the file cart, the instructions are lacking. I had to look several times, then look again and try to figure out which piece was which, etc. Something needs to be done to upgrade the instructions. It took me only about an hour to put this piece of furniture together and the end product is worth it. I had my pieces delivered and did notice some damage to desktop but nothing too terrible or nothing that can't be covered up. This piece is VERY sturdy and I have no fear when using it. The drawer and keyboard tray were so easy to slide in and I have no difficulty using either. Love the long keyboard tray - for my mouse also! In the end - the desk was a breeze and would highly recommend, the file cart...well, that's a different story!Customer Review: The perfect personal computer desk.

Easy to assemble, the mission collection computer desk is a gorgeous addition to any home office, bedroom, or dorm. Though large enough to hold your PC and leave a good two square feet of space for papers, books, or a writing area, the Mission Collection Computer Desk's perfect proportioning allows it to fit snugly into any nook in your room.
The outstanding natural finish allows the owner (and humbled guests) to see the gorgeous solid wood construction.
The pull-out keyboard tray sinks naturally back into the desk frame and, even when it's out, is just another aesthetically lovely addition. Many such features can look awkward and cumbersome, but, in this desk, it's perfect. This is as good as it gets.
Assembly is easy, especially with a power drill but even without. This is the best desk I've seen. Understated, but beautiful. Don't spend more than you have to. This is what you need.

This desk is awesome! It is made out of SOLID WOOD not the cheap pressed cork wood from cheaper `discount' products. Trust the saying "You get what you paid for..." and for this case this is a good buy. The shipping was fast it took about 5 days to come by UPS. Despite the box the desk came in was beaten up the parts of the desk inside where in great condition.
The desk needs assembly and the instruction booklet took a while to figure since it was mostly pictures. Each part was labeled well so it was very easy to put together and I did it with out using any power tools and it took me about an hour to finish the job.
The style of the desk is very nice for small apartments. It sits against the wall and doesn't take up a lot of space. I would recommend buying this desk especially if you want a desk that isn't bulky and solidly built.

We registered for a lot of our furniture at target when we were engaged, and we got this desk, and the mission style coffee table from the mission collection. I love this desk, and as college students, this desk gets a lot of use. A year and 2 apartments later this desk is still sturdy and beautiful. The finish has stood up to wear and tear, and the pull out tray is the perfect size to put both a keyboard and mouse. Some people have written in that it isn't sturdy, and to that I say that they obviously didn't spend much time or care when they put it together initially. A tip when you put ANYTHING together that has different parts to be tightened simultaneously -- get all the screws in but not tight, then when all are in, tighten. This will ensure stability. For what you are paying this is a great desk and hutch (only $99.00 for the desk). Very sturdy, solid wood. I put both pieces together, by myself (non-powered screwdriver) in about 1 hour. I was amazed that all the pieces fit together without any problems lining up the pegs and camlocks. Everything went together easily using a bit of common-sense (look at the pictures-not the written directions and line up all the holes before trying to screw it together.)
It's desk surface is a bit on the small size (have a 19 inch monitor on it), but in an apartment dorm or bedroom, it's small size turns into a plus. I'm actually planning to buy another desk (same brand and type) to use with the one I already have. I'll put it at a right angle to this one and use it as a writing desk. when I move into a bigger place.
