Upon completing assembly, I realized that the table would not fit in the space available, so, not to be deterred, I got my framing square and laid out new holes for the top mounting studs that would offset the top 2ins to the front and 2ins to the left. Result, a perfect fit!
However, this is not a piece of furniture I would display in a $500,000.00 home. The fit on all of the joints is, at best, very poor, with gaps at every assembly point. Seldom do you find furniture made of solid wood. The top and shelf are well finished and very attractive, albeit, they have more finger joints than a Redheaded girl has freckles. But, in the somewhat bohemian environment of my technology center (fancy for Computer Room) it fits right in.
