I'm a mechanic who works on transit buses. In order to access the engine you have to pull the rear seat and you wouldn't believe how much dust, garbage and sheer filth builds up under there. Then all the time you're working in that area you're constantly breathing a cloud of filthy dust. That's a problem for me since I have allergies during the spring but every time I open those seats I have a horrible sneezing attack. Using the standard dust masks is a pain since the hot air and moisture builds up so badly that I can't stand wearing the thing for more than 15 or 20 minutes. With this mask however, most of the hot air that you exhale is vented through the valve. That keeps me a lot more comfortable and I no longer feel like I'm being smothered. This mask filters very well too and I didn't sneeze even once yesterday. These masks are expensive but if you have the money, it's worth the price.
