The 17" Bath & Shower handle arrived today and works exactly as advertised. It took two minutes to install after I cleaned the 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" ceramic tile with isopropyl alcohol to remove any soap scum or calcium deposits. The secret is to press the cup HARD against the tile while pushing the blue lock button on each end. Some complained that it did not stick over the grout joints! DUHHH? You have to use a little common sense. No suction cup is going to stick over a joint. I believe I would pull the tiles off the wall before jerking the handle off. It is a great safety feature for us who are a bit too infirm to handle slipping down on the slick floor.
I would but this product again and recommend it to anyone smart enough to hold it against a smooth tile and push the buttons down. Otherwise, get a tile contractor to remove the tile and set a permanent handle for you.

I purchased this because my 90-year-old father was coming to visit, and I couldn't be more pleased with the product and the way it functioned. The grab-bar was extremely easy to install on our fiberglass bathtub-shower-surround, was very sturdy and held on firmly for the 4 days that we had it installed. It was also very easy to remove when the time came. If our fiberglass surround were white, I'd have left the grab-bar on after my father left. I really like the convenience of being able to install this product without having to drill holes into the wall and studs. It would be great for traveling, so I might consider buying one to give to my father for that purpose. In the future my husband and I might need a grab-bar in our shower (white) on a full-time basis, and I'd definitely feel confident using this one. I got this handle to go along with a shower chair because I needed some support to get up and down. I love the large size because I'm 5'10". This installs very easily. It has large suction cups with nothing to ruin your shower tiles. Installation is a snap and just takes a minute. You just place the handle where you want it and press down on each lever, and you have a very firm grip to the tile. It gives me added mobility and security, and it's a great price. Just an important note: Make sure your hands or the bar itself are not soapy when you grab it because your hand could easily slip off of it. Just make sure to give your hands or the bar a quick rinse before you grab it. A very worthwhile purchase. I'm very pleased with this item. Highly recommended.Customer Review: Safety

I recently purchased and received two (2) units of Mommy's Helper Safer Grips from Baby Earth, and I am so happy with this product and with seller that I will be purchasing soon two more units.
Seller package was handled perfectly and on time. The product is smal (11.5"), but the right size for our home application . The design of unit is sturdy and grips to tiles very well. Unit color is very attractive for bathroom usage. This a perfect solution for what we were looking: safety and good looks. Price of the unit was also a contributing factor for item selection. I have seen in the market safer grips not of the same quality and twice the cost of this unit.
It was a good purchasing decision on product and seller.

After a long illness, I need some help keeping my balance in the shower. These shower handles (I bought two) do the job. Just make sure to test them periodically to ensure they have not popped loose from the wall. This has happened several times on one side of the handle or the other, but reattaching them is a no-brainer job. These lived up perfectly to the task and stick to my corian wall in the shower very well. No regrets in buying these at all.
