I moved to a new apartment and have no shower bars, so I did some research and found/ordered this one on amazon.com. It is perfect for giving me the support and safety I need. I haven't tried putting a lot of weight on it, but I do hold onto it getting in and out of my tub/shower combination, and so far it seems very sturdy, doesn't slip at all. I installed it horizontally instead of the way its shown in the picture. It fits on my 4" tiles just fine this way. This has worked like a charm in our shower which has smooth matte white 12x12 tile walls. It sticks like glue to the walls and I cannot budge it once attached regardless of how much I yank on it. It has worked perfectly and is pathetically simple to attach (and remove.) We bought this only to provide stability in the shower while washing feet, etc and it works great for this for us. We did not buy it to support dead weight or as a major handicap assist and suspect we'd need an anchored device for those purposes.Customer Review: Worked Beyond My Expectations

I was worried when I was putting this up that it wasn't lining up with my tiles well enough to work. To my surprise it has an amazing grip and still does after being up there for quite some time. I think the tile would come off the wall before I could pull this off the tile. Exactly what I needed due to my particular medical issue... and it can be removed easier than opening a couple cans of soda-pop. Impressed... and further injuries prevented (the important part from my perspective).Customer Review: Easy and convenient!

I brought this item to help my parents get in and out of the shower. It works great! Holds really well and can be removed when my folks are not around. Buy one and keep it under your sink for when an elderly person comes by your house. Goes up in a snap and comes off just as easy! Only problem is make sure your tile is securely attached to your wall. Safe-er- Grip Bath & shower Handle, 17-Inches. Our experience with this grip has been exemplary. 30 days ago I installed this in our new tiled shower, following mfr's instructions. I shower every day and check it every day for fastness and it hasn't budged. We think it works great and expect many years of good service from it.
