This is a brand new 8x12 picture/photo frame (meaning a 8'' x 12'' or a 12'' x 8'' print will fit just right). Solid wood, semi-circle profiled 0.875'' wide and 0.625'' thick molding with a 0.25'' deep rabbet is covered with a thin layer of gesso and painted walnut. It also features thin gold leaf insert around the opening. I needed an 8 X 12 picture frame and couldn't find it at any local craft stores. I looked on amazon and found the right size. The only drawback is that you have to screw the hooks on the back of the frame to hang it. The frame itself is not instantly mountable. It comes with screws, hooks and hanging wire. Other than that, it is a beautiful frame at a good price.
