This is a brand new 16 by 20 picture/photo frame (meaning a 16-inch by 20-inch or a 20-inch by 16-inch print will fit just right). Solid wood 1-1/2-inch wide and 0-3/4-inch thick molding with a 0-1/4-inch deep rabbet is covered with a thin layer of gesso and painted flat black (meaning, not shiny, matte finish). We've added this frame to our inventory answering numerous requests from our buyers for a stylish, nice, yet simple picture frame, good for posters, black-and-white prints, etc - in other words, modern gallery type of frame, simple, yet not cheap. Though the frame indeed looks as simple as it gets, designing this molding actually took a lot of time and effort - proportions had to be chosen really carefully, as a difference of only one sixteenth of an inch is what makes the frame beautiful. -inchSimple-inch things are the hardest to create. It seems our designers have done a good job with this frame: its popularity has already grown beyond our highest expectations.
