This is a brand new 8 by 12 picture/photo frame (meaning a 8-inch by 12-inch or a 12-inch by 8-inch print will fit just right). Solid wood, semi-circle profiled 0.875-inch wide and 0.625-inch thick molding with a 0.25-inch deep rabbet is covered with a thin layer of gesso and painted walnut. It also features thin gold leaf insert around the opening. If you need a sturdy wooden frame that won't fall apart like plastic ones do, yet does not bear imperfections natural to untreated wood - this is the frame for you.Good for almost anything: certificate, diploma, school project, photograph, artwork, craft project, etc. Moulging is sturdy, glass is real, price is affordable, - this is the picture frame you're looking for. I needed an 8 X 12 picture frame and couldn't find it at any local craft stores. I looked on amazon and found the right size. The only drawback is that you have to screw the hooks on the back of the frame to hang it. The frame itself is not instantly mountable. It comes with screws, hooks and hanging wire. Other than that, it is a beautiful frame at a good price.
