This 4" X 30' extra heavy-duty 40,000 lb capacity cargo strap is ideal for towing and freeing trucks or disabled vehicles from mud, sand or snow. This strap features double twisted ends that fit right onto tow hooks. This is not one of those stretchy nylon 'recovery' straps... it is polyester (least stretchy & very strong U.V. resistant fiber). A 1 1/4" shackle (weighs 10 pounds) fits in the loops with some difficulty. Doubled back around a tree for example, it can be used with a 12 ton winch, also doubled back with a snatch block, to produce over 40,000 lbs. of force. With a really big tree you could get an 8 tons (loaded) bucket truck back on the road (what I bought it for).
Don't allow anyone, yourself included, anywhere near winch rigging when in use. (Use a wireless remote.)
Don't hook winch cables back on themselves; the slip hook will damage the cable.
Don't hook the winch cable back to the winch mount; use a separate connection point on the frame.
-- Doubling the winch cable back using a snatch block (pulley) creates double the force of your winch.
