It is hard enough to find a safe that does not require a key, which if lost, will doom you. It is even more difficult to find a secure combination safe that is inexpensive. I love my safe! It is very easy to program and is about the size of a tall shoebox inside. I was a little upset that I got directions and warnings about how I might have to call a service number and there was no service number provided. I ordered two safes, the first one received broken. After returning it received the second also broken. They need to protect the plastic face plate better. I repaired the second safe and kept it. This is the same kind of mini safe you find in hotel rooms. It is cheap and great for keeping passports, documents and cash at home without too much worry about theft or fires.
Not sure about flooding. This unit may not be water proof.
