I bought two of these after reading others's reviews, and needless to say I was not disappointed. Both flashlights are quite bright, and throw light a good 25 feet pretty easily. though perhaps not quite as powerful as a AA maglight in terms of distance, they completely outshine AA maglights when lighting anything within 20 feet of you.
At this price, I would definitely recommend picking up a few to keep around your house, car, boat or wherever.

I bought a few of these on a whim with another purchase. They turned out to be very good units with a broad, bright beam. They are small and light. I've now purchased eight of them and gave them to my wife for her car, a nurse friend who works nights and needed a small flashlight for her purse. I've stuck them in desks, my car console, my tool kits - anywhere I needed a flashlight. This is a nice little flashlight for $4. It's plenty bright, has a nice positive click on/click off switch (in the end, so you hit it with your thumb when you're holding it in your fist with the light pointing out the pinkey finger side of your fist), and has a good weight. Comes with 3 AAA batteries and a lanyard (not pictured). I'll be buying another for my other vehicle next time I need just $4 more to get free Super Saver shipping.Customer Review: Stocking up for the summer blackout season

I had purchased one of these for my trip to africa and it worked swimmingly. It was super bright during the pitch black morning before a fishing trip, light weight enough to carry without being weighed down, and compact enough to stick in my pocket. Last night there was a blackout in my building, but I remember where i put my light when i unpacked. This LED flashlight does everything I need it to. It turns on, is super bright, is small, and turns off. Its perfect for keeping in the car and you can't beat it for under $5. It is made fairly well and includes batteries. I've had no issues with mine and I've found it to come in handy on many occasions already in the week or so I've owned it! I would highly recommend this little, super bright, light...especially for the price.
