Tools and Hardware Reviews of Noodlehead N111C Flexible Lawn & Garden SprinklerCustomer Review: Pretty cool Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this to water my front lawn which is very very long and thin, so it an awkward shape and I usually end up mostly watering the street in front of my house if I use a traditional sprinkler. This Noodlehead sprinkler definitely allows you to point the streams in whichever direction you like, but there are not that many nozzles so some parts of the lawn remain unwatered. Its not so much a normal sprinkler mist, its more like a bunch of tiny individual streams of water - more like a fountain than a sprinkler. I think it would definitely work great for a small garden where you only want to direct water at shrubs and flowers. Overall a pretty neat concept and works as promised.
Customer Review: more for a semi-permanant installation Summary: 4 Stars
Maybe I didn't read carefully enough, but it surprised me that it was so small. I guess it does what it says it will, but again, I was surprised how fussy it was to get aimed the way you want. Once you get it set, you don't want to mess with it any more. I think this was discussed in the description. I should have paid more attention. Also, as suggested, being able to adjust the flow with an added shut-off valve helps a lot.
I can see it being most useful mounted in a semi-permanant location. I was looking for something more portable and versatile. I don't regret buying one. I'm looking for just the right place for it.
Customer Review: a novelty Summary: 4 Stars
This could be a fun item for children to use when they want to run around in the sprinklers. I bought it to water a particular part of my yard. The flexible tubes don't seem to want to stay put in the position I choose. Of more concern, however, is that often I check my hoses and sprinlers and notice this has loosened itself from its water source and is lying on the ground adjacent to the riser.
I purchased this at the Del Mar Fair in 2006 or 2007.
Customer Review: A GOOD CHOICE! Summary: 4 Stars
This is our second noodlehead. This is the only sprinkler I've ever had, and I've had many with different "features," that adapts to my slightly raised and odd shaped garden. It does the trick! My one minor disappointment is that the first one only lasted about a year and half before one of the "noodles" broke away. However, we live in very hot environment with hard water and the noodlehead ran every day. It was well worth the money.
Customer Review: A good solution for small yards, odd-shaped areas Summary: 4 Stars
I have a small yard with several triangular flower beds, and noodleheads have been an excellent solution for me. I pair them with snap-on connectors, and simply move the hose (on a timer) from noodlehead to noodlehead. I haven't had any trouble with the black wands moving -- once I have them in a pattern, they stay here.
The noodleheads last well -- much better than the soaker hoses that tend to degrade after two years.
