Tools and Hardware Reviews of Noodlehead N111C Flexible Lawn & Garden SprinklerCustomer Review: Does not look like the drawing. Company has no integrity. Summary: 3 Stars
Why give it three stars? Because I'm reviewing this fairly. I left a review for this product last week with three stars and "somehow" it was removed. I'd like interested parties to be aware of why I do not give it the five stars that my LAWN wants to give it. The biggest problem I have with this company is honesty and fairness and I don't say that to be punny. The County Fair is where I was introduced to this product and it is there that I overpaid direct from the manufacturer. They charged $4 more for one of these and if it looked like this picture...well, I may have thought it fair since the picture suggests metal parts are somehow part of it's makeup. Wouldn't an actual photograph work? The brother of the manufacturer sells to Amazon who then marks them up to $12.95 but he sells it directly to me who has paid $10 to enter the fair and $10 to park at the fair for $16.95 saying, "The more you buy, the more you save" and "The reason I can afford to sell them for this unheard of fair-only low low price is that my brother is the manufacturer. What a crook!
Now, am I happy with the item? Yes? Shouldn't that be the only thing that counts? You decide? Do you enjoy freedom of speech? I do. Do you believe in truth in advertising? Well, then you'll be disappointed to know that this noodlehead is a little green plastic thingy like they sell on any other site wherein it bears the name "Noodlehead" and not of some gunmetal blue glimmering goodness. When he advertises his "Fair-only price" in YOUR town, know that there IS truth in that...a misleading truth. Buyer beware and buy here! That is all.
Customer Review: Well made but ... Summary: 3 Stars
My small Gardena sprinkler died a year ago and I have not been able to replace it so I have tried a couple of small sprinklers for my small yard. I thought this would be a solution. Not really. It is very well made, has a clever design but you better have a swim suit on. If you are trying to adjust the individual "noodles" so that you make the best use of your water, you will get wet, very wet. Unless you use the spike that comes with the unit and leave the sprinkler in place you have to re-adjust each use. If you leave it in place, chances are the neighboring kids have played with it and you will have to re-adjust it anyway.I am still looking for a sprinkler to replace my Gardena.
Customer Review: Really fussy Summary: 3 Stars
The Noodlehead worked fine, up to a point. The sprays from each Noodle went up to about eight feet away. Each Noodle doesn't really spray a lot of water, so be prepared to point three to six noodles at one spot if you want to really cover a specific area.
I also found bending the noodles to be vey fussy and time-consuming. Often the Noodles bent back up over time and had to be repositioned. I finally gave up and got a traditional oscillating sprinker. That worked pretty well, and didn't have to be readjusted.
My bottom line: it's a fussy novelty that might be perfect for some folks, but I won't be buying more than the one I tried.
Customer Review: Item not as solid looking as the picture Summary: 3 Stars
I just received this last week and immediately noticed something obvious. The item itself is not as solid/durable looking as the picture shown on Amazon. The tip of each noodle is a silver colored plastic head, not the aluminum/metal looking tip shown on the picture. Overall I was a little taken back by the visual differences which for me immediately implies lower quality and construction. I will try to get some photos taken and submit for this product so you can see the real thing. I have yet to get a chance to try the product out, so can't comment on performance.
Customer Review: Soakers are better Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this little sprinkler last year and thought it would be perfect for my irregular beds, well, I finally got it to work on one bed, but for the most part it either watered too much or not enough. You can aim the little flexible heads, but they tend to slowly move back to their original location. And if your water pressure changes while watering then where you set them originally may be too high or far when the pressure goes up. I think that a soaker hose is a lot more practical and gets the water where you want it with a lot less hassle.
