Having purchased numerous mattress pads (because most of them are utter garbage) I was very impressed when I received this. The actual padding is very nice and a lot thicker than most pads I've seen and also doesn't look like you picked it out of a dollar store (it has a quality look to it, 300 thread count, I believe).
Now, where this really shines is the part where it isn't padded (the fabric that goes on the side of the bed that you tuck in). Most pads have this weird filter-looking material that you can easily poke your finger through. This pad has a very nice quality material thats quite stretchy but very durable. This is a quality pad and I expect it will last me a long, long time.

I bought this mattress pad based on the price and the numerous positive reviews. I have to say that it goes beyond my expectations. The pad has the perfect amount of padding and is very soft. The pockets are extremely deep. It more than fits our double pillow top bed. The sides are made of a very soft and durable spandex-like material. I did read a review about the back of the pad being plastic or falling apart after washing. Mine has no plastic that I can find and seems very durable. I'm not sure how it would melt to sheets in the dryer. If you are looking for a great quality mattress pad at a very reasonable price, this is the one to get.Customer Review: Great for the Price

Bought this for our guest bedroom queen bed. For this price this is a really great pad. We have a nice thick mattress and I just wanted something to protect it. Didn't need alot of padding. This was perfect! Just fit. The quality of the pad seems great, nice and soft. The part that fits over the mattress sides are wonderful! Not that cheap stuff you can tear real easy. I think when I wash it I will have to do so in cold water & line dry though. The top just fits the mattress and I want to minimize the shrinkage as much as possible. Over all I am really pleased. Admittedly, I don't pay tons of attention to my mattress pad. I imagine that most people are in the same boat, in this respect.
I bought this pad because it was on super sale when I bought it, and it didn't disappoint. It's not overly padded, so the firmness of my mattress is not concealed by the pad (which is good, in my opinion). It conceals the pattern of the mattress top better than other pads that I've owned, which was noteworthy because my mattress has a fairly deep pattern on the top.
All in all, it's a product that I'd recommend to anyone not looking for a fluffy pad.

Some mattress pads cost a fortune. Others are cheap, but they slide around or have no padding. Sometimes you luck out at a white sale in the department store -- but they never seem to have the sale when your mattress pad is going bad.
So what do you do? You search on line. And Amazon gives you a great pad at a great price. They meant Deluxe when they said it...it fits a thick pillow top mattress without any problem...its not a cheap flimsy top and the shipping was quick.
All around -- a good deal!
