As with any product, you can get a defective item. The first mattress pad arrived with broken stiches that continued to unravel after washing. Amazon promptly replaced and I've had no problems with the second one. Pad is very soft & fits my pillow-top mattress without any problems. I machine wash & dry on delicate cycles weekly with no problems. I've had it for approximately 2-3 months and it still looks & feels like new. Pad is very durable & soft. I highly recommend and will be purchasing more for other beds in my home.Customer Review: Very nice

This mattress pad is very, very nice. It is smooth and soft, like high thread count sheets, and the sides are not made of that snaggy strange fiber material that most pads have on the sides. The sides of this are a stretchy polyester kind of material. The pad also folds up nice and flat, too. We use this on our blow up bed for camping to block out the cold air and it works very nicely. I would buy one for my regular bed, too, but we have to use a special pad for our memory foam topper. Was wondering the quality for this price and I was super surprised how much padding there was and when I washed it, which I do for all new bedding, the material did not fall apart. Yeah. It fitted perfectly with a little to spare (unlike our old one we had to yank and pull hard to have it fitted around the bed). beautiful. Couldn't believe the quality for the price. Also, we have a very deep top mattress and the skirt was ample to fit around the mattress. Loved it.Customer Review: Unbeatable for the price.

This mattress pad exceeded my expectations for such a low price. After a month of use it's maintained most of its loft. The damask top is well made and the stitching is sturdy. After reading a previous review I dried it on low heat the first time I washed it to prevent the sides from "melting" but encountered no problem and dried it on the high heat setting after that. Highly recommended purchase for the budget conscious cotton bedding lover.Customer Review: Excellent

For under fifteen dollars this is an exceptional mattress pad. The sides are a very heavy and opaque nylon tricot fabric ( like a slip) and the top a very close woven cotton fabric- it is substantial and heavy, came in a clear zippered bag- I really don't understand how this could be manufactured and shipped and sold at this price-and how Amazon could make a profit on this. Get it while it is still available- you won't regret it.
