Good for key chains and small cameras, GPS devices, anything with a lanyard, etc.
Just be aware that It can easily come off unless clasp is fully closed. For example: if you clip to your jeans/pants pocket, it can come off with a gentle push. If you clip it to your belt loop or other rope or loop, it very secure.

I bought a pack of these after already having some of the larger sizes and loving them. Purchased for use as a quick connect for my fire starter (read my review of the GobSpark FireSteel Ranger with Super Scraper and Lanyard) and it's perfect. These are just what I expected them to be, nothing fancy. Quick attachment, quick release, small loads (rated up to 5 lb each).
