Customer Review: Disco Dog Collar Light

Okay so it isn't really "disco" in the traditional sense of the word, but it is pretty cool as it cycles from one color to the next in the dark. The light has two light modes. The first click starts the light cycling through colors. The second click turns it to a red flashing light. The first mode is great for keeping track when the dog is loose in the yard. The flashing mode is perfect for walking through the neighborhood after dark.
I have a dark brindle greyhound that virtually disappears into the foliage after dark. He evidentially thinks I can see him as well as he can see me, because I get "the look" from him when I call him to me to make sure he's still in yard... After receiving this light, I know where he is at all times and it's amazing that he can be less than 5 feet away from me and all I can see is a bobbing light. Even though we're in a fenced in yard, it gives me great peace of mind to actually know where he is. It's very helpful when we travel too.
We've had a couple of windstorms lately that have knocked out power, although it's no substitute for a flashlight, the light provides enough illumination to keep us from banging into things when we go out in the dark.
I'm pleased to add that the complaints about the difficulty turning the display mode off have been heard and addressed by the company. It comes with very clear easy to understand directions for disabling display mode as well as changing batteries. I have had no problems with the light functioning properly.
I would purchase this item again.
