I've been looking for a solid wood bed for a while now that wasn't going to cost $1000. I've also been looking for storage.
The bed arrived in less than a week in one neat box. All the tools and instructions were supplied and easy to understand. My husband and I assembled this bed together in less than 30 minutes. The slats have the most beautiful natural coloring that we've opted to leave it unstained for now. While the bolts are visible, they are a nice bronze color and create a clean, modern look.
I have a thick 15" mattress and do not notice the center ribbing at all.
And with the 12" of space underneath, I was able to buy nice wicker baskets to fit all of my extra stuff cleanly below.

I ordered this bed Tuesday afternoon and received it Friday. I assembled it by myself in just under an hour. It was a joy to assemble; the parts fit together just as described and the steps to assemble were simple. The assembled bed is very sturdy. I walked across it without the mattress on and I felt no weakness when applying my full weight (135 lbs) to a single slat. I had been concerned that the spacing between the slats would be noticeable through my 10 inch latex mattress, but that turned out to not be the case. I wasn't too excited about having four screws in the center of the head and foot boards of the bed, but a simple bed skirt hides them well.
The bed has become a welcome addition to my home!

I have had this bed for about a week. I am using it with a 12" memory foam mattress and I have no issues with the center causing issues as some may have mentioned.
The bed itself is awesome! It is great-looking and sturdy. It is high enough to store things under and very solid construction. I knew I would love this bed when I was putting it together. It was such a simple design but the parts fit together seamlessly. I plan on staining this bed when I have time as a little project but right now I am leaving it as is because I have a mattress set with a bed dressing that covers the bed.
If you're looking for an inexpensive, great-quality wood bed, just get this now and don't think twice!

This is a great frame. I have an 8" latex mattress and even though the frame looks weird and has a strange rise in the center I do not feel it at all and trust me, I was just itching for it to give me a problem and tried 16 ways from Sunday to "feel it" but happily nothing. It actually keeps each sides support separate across a shorter width and in my opinion ends up supporting much better. Think of it as a Playtex bra for your mattress, it "lifts and separates". The wood is real nice, very smooth - no splinters. I like having the air circulation underneath rather than a solid flat platform. It took us no more than 30 minutes to assemble and that includes emptying the box. Very pleased.Customer Review: Exceptional value

I highly recommend this frame to anyone looking for a platform bed. This bed feels very solid and much higher quality than you might get at, say, Ikea. The wood seems very durable and hard. It was extremely easy to put together - less than 20 min with two people - and I imagine it would break down easily for moving. We put our 7-8" mattress directly on top and haven't felt the divide in the middle of the bed in the slightest. This bed has the simple, clean look that I wanted; I haven't stained it yet but it still looks great in our lighter-colored bedroom. I did do some light sanding on a few rough spots, maybe an extra 20 min. worth.
