I have the older model 1071, same motor & blades. I've used mine for well over a year now in the stateroom of my ship. It has been run constantly on high for month (well over 700 hours straight), and never a problem. I take it with me wherever I need to work, it has been exposed to the salty air of the seas and is still chuggin'. I do wish it was easier to take apart and clean, as dust has now accumulated on the blades and screens.Customer Review: Good thing to have for emergency

This little fan is suprisingly powerful and fits in nicely with my stash of emergency items. It can get very hot where I live(Texas)and power outages seem to be more common then they used to be. This fan can be the difference between being merely uncomfortable and being truely miserable in the heat when the power goes out and the A/C goes with it.Customer Review: O2 Cool Fan

I am very pleased with my purchase and plan on purchasing another fan later. I want these for when the power goes off because its usually so hot here in Tennessee. This fan is WONDERFUL. I bought it because I'm 8 months pregnant and was going to be helping with a 4th of July parade and needed a fan that would work with batteries. It didn't let me down. Fast service and great price. Fans are great have had camping fans in the passed but they are much smaller and they are hinged and the hinge breaks very quickly. I live in the Caribbean and the power goes out without warning so it is great to have a battery-powered fan that works.
