Customer Review: Finally a sink mat that lasts!

I have used this sink mat for 6 months now. I am so glad I took a chance on it! I have purchased rubbermaid sink mats and other brands of rubber mats for years. They tend to get discolored and gross looking, requiring repeated bleaching. I wanted to try something different but did not want stainless steel (I have a Corian sink) mainly because of the risk of breakage of glassware/dishes. This mat is a hard "plastic" with rubber on the top. It has little feet that allow water to drain under it, thus I have had no problem with moldy, slimy stains on the bottom. The rubber on the top also does not seem to stain. It fits perfectly in my sink so it does not slide around at all. If you fill the sink with water and have no dishes in it, it will float but that has never been a problem for me. Since it is rigid, you have to lift the mat up to let the water out unlike the rubbermaid where you could lift the edge. Again, not an issue for me, just different. One thing I really like is that I can put my dishes upright in the ridges and almost use as a dish drainer. Like I said, I am so glad I purchased this and would highly recommend it!
