Very pleased with this strainer. Replaced an old fashioned metal strainer that always seemed to clog immediately and fill the sink with dish water. This Oxo strainer does a great job catching food while letting the water drain. When done, it is easy to turn "inside out" and clean out into the trash without unpleasantness.
Only catches are 1) doesn't work as a drain plug and 2) wouldn't fit a "shallow" drain area, but if those work for you, it's hard to imagine a better strainer.

Like one of the previous opinions, I can't believe I'm writing a review of a sink strainer. One of the "yuckies" in life is cleaning out the little bits of food etc that accumulate in the sink and this wonderful little gadget traps 'em all, does not impede the flow of water, and is wonderfully easy to just pop out over the trash. It is also then very easy to wash before returning to the drain. Life often is about the "little things", and this is one of them that makes me happy.Customer Review: Works great! Looks even better!

I rarely write reviews, but I LOVE this strainer! I bought one 3 years ago when I renovated my kitchen and it looks great against my black granite sink. I use it on the side without the disposal. It works great and looks even better! Buying another today so I'll have a new one for the new house we're building. Only thing you need to remember is each time you clean the sink, you need to wipe off the strainer, too. I sometimes throw it in the dishwasher, top rack. Purchased this item to replace the metal strainer that came with the sink.It never seemed to work right and the wife never put it in the drain so i was constantly picking food out of the drain.This silicone beauty lets the water drain easily and keeps food from blocking my drain.Also it is very easily cleaned by just turning it inside out.Buy it and you won't be dissapointed....I also bought the one for shower stalls & it works well...Customer Review: Great So Far!

I bought three OXO products at the same time for our new kitchen sink - two mats and this strainer. While the mats seem a bit cheap, this strainer is great. It traps bigger food particles (and cutlery, etc) before they can enter the disposer, and easily inverts for a quick toss in the garbage. It's easy to rinse, and looks nice in the stainless steel sink (it's a little smaller than the disposer ring, but that's not a big deal).
