This holder is perfect! The styling, quality, and functionality are all top-notch. The brushed stainless steel give it a sleek, modern look. The adjustable arm holds the roll of paper-towels in place so that only 1 sheet tears off every time.
This is the first paper-towel holder I've used that actually works the way it is supposed to. With other holders I would pull off way more sheets than I needed and have to roll them back up. Not with the Oxo!
This holder is brilliant! Oxo rarely disappoints, and this is no exception! A well deserved 5 stars!

My old wooden towel holder was showing it's age not to mention sometimes when we pulled a towel off the whole towel holder came off the counter and landed on the floor or my dogs head. Time for a new one. I saw this at a local store and then looked at Amazon where it was about $7.00 cheaper. Obviously I bought it here at Amazon. It works great; there is some weight on the bottom so it is heavier than the old one so my poor dog won't get hurt. Matches my stainless appliances and stays clean without much effort. The OXO Brushed Stainless Steel Standing paper towel holder works like a charm. I don't have to unscrew a "cap" to remove or add a new roll, you just slide it on and off. The arm that helps to manage the tearing is awesome in that it delicately lays against the roll but not so much that it hampers getting one if you only have one free hand, and this arm works until the end of the roll. The brushed Stainless look makes this product look sleek and modern. I would purchase this item again if the need ever arose.Customer Review: This is the one I have been looking for.

Great looking, easily wipes clean. It has a spring in the center that prevents the roll from turning beyond what you are pulling, the outside arm hangs on making it easy to pull off just one sheet, and it is sufficiently heavy to allow you to effortlessly get one sheet using just one hand. No more rolls of paper towels that are dripped upon on top, or wet with finger prints on the sides. The beauty of how this towel holder works has not gone unnoticed by any guest using my bathroom.Customer Review: Works well, but not with all paper towels

We have found that the paper towel holder works well with paper towels that are more cloth-like. The stiffer paper towels don't seem to provide enough friction for the gripping tab to cling onto. Maybe this could be resolved if you apply felt to the holder, but we simply switched to another brand and it works fine.
The paper towel looks rather shiny in the picture but actually has a brushed stainless steel look which matches the appliances in our kitchen.
