I purchased this set over a year ago and in that time have only developed one complaint that others have also mentioned:
-They are a bit shorter than I anticipated.
I suppose I should have read the measurement size and given some thought to how comfortable they would be to use (I am 5'11") but I wrongly assumed they would be "normal" broom height. They are not. An additional 6" of handle length would have made all the difference in the world for me as using them for any extended period of time causes my back to ache. Mostly I use it to clean our upstairs loft (the spiral staircase makes it a pain to bring things up or down so I purchased these to leave up there) and I ended up buying a second, longer broom to use with the dustpan. I only docked it one star as it is partially my fault for not taking the time to ensure I knew what I was purchasing.
If you are of a shorter stature then these will probably fit the bill nicely. I have had no other issues with them and they seem to be typical Oxo build quality (ie. nice and reliable). The bristles are soft and effective and the dust pan does a good job of helping collect all the dust in one or two attempts.

This is an excellent replacement for a dustpan and brush set, but is too small for most adults to use as an ordinary broom. The dustpan works very well and, as other reviewers have stated, does not allow dirt to escape under the lip. I gave it four stars because I had intended to use it as my only broom, but I found the handle too short (I'm 5'6") and the brush end too small for effective sweeping. It is currently sitting in my broom closet next to the standard-size corn broom I bought to sweep before using this item to clear away the dust pile. It does provide the knees- and back-saving convenience of not having to bend or stoop to use the dustpan. If this item had been marketed as being for post-sweeping removal of dust piles only, I would have given it five stars.Customer Review: Uprightbroom and dustpan set

Since I should not stoop or bend to any degree because of my back, this set has made cleaning up kitty litter, crumbs, etc. from my floors a breeze. I agree that it is not too short or too long. The pan is flush to the floor and all the dregs are easily swept into it, usually on the first try. I am so very happy with this purchase that I could do a dance, but that is not good for the back either.Customer Review: Okay but handle is a little too thick to easy hold

I thought this a different product that I used to have a while back which worked great. This one works well too but the handle of the broom is a little too thick and harder to easily hold and sweep. Overall, I like it. I will not be returning it. Just wish it was a little skinnier so sweeping could be done faster.
The fact that the broom and the dustpan connect is great!
