Tools and Hardware Reviews of Olive Kids Trains, Planes, & Trucks Twin Comforter

Customer Review: Very very cute bed set!
Summary: 4 Stars

These are really cute and work great for kids beds. It seems well made with bright colors, good stitching, and has lasted for ~8 washings without any signs of fading or the like.

Note that the sheets are not going to be your 5000 thread count Egyptian long staple cotton :) They are, however, just fine for normal kids!!

Customer Review: Cute design but fades quickly
Summary: 3 Stars

I think this is one of the cutest comforter and sheet sets that I could find for our 2-year-old "big boy" who loves planes and other things that go. Along with the comforter and sheets, I bought a pillow sham. It is because of the sham that I noticed the instant fading of the comforter after one wash (cold water and gentle wash, low-heat dry). The red on the "unwashed" sham is very vibrant, but after only one wash of the comforter, the red has become faded...sort of like a brick red. I was disappointed with that, especially considering the price of this comforter, BUT we love the print (and our little one loves it), so overall we are still very happy.

The material of the comforter also has a "wrinkled" appearance. I'm OK with that, since I want to avoid washing it too often. I'm guessing the wrinkles will go away as it softens. (But, I'm not sure how much more it will fade.)

The sheets seem to be holding their color better. They are not that soft, but presently our child is wearing footy pajamas, so he isn't noticing that.

Overall, I'd recommend this...but only if you are OK with the fading.

Customer Review: Decent enough for a preschooler
Summary: 3 Stars

My 3, almost 4 year old is obsessed with trains. I can't believe how hard it was to find bedding with trains on them, since I'm sure he is not the only preschooler with this obsession. I read all of the previous reviews and checked out Pottery Barn's selection. For the price, Olive Kids bedding is decent. I agree that they could have done a better job with the details as others have suggested: the backwards tag and very thin comforter. I think the softness is just fine, it has held up well with washing and didn't cost a fortune. My son loves it- which is the most important thing.

Customer Review: Not Very Soft
Summary: 2 Stars

I was kind of disappointed with this product. After a few washes the comforter is just not as soft as another comforter I bought at a department store, and the department store comforter was much cheaper and it came with sheets, pillow case, and fitted sheet. Maybe I paid for the name of the brand.
