I have been using this since 1998 when I bought it in the big membership store. I buy bulk things like cashews and they come in really nice plastic tub containers which are great for storage afterwards. Desolvit will remove the labels very easily and makes the tub container look new without a label on it. I peel off the thin coated toping of the label which usually comes off easily, and spray on the underneath absorbant paper label still attached that has the stickiness--impossible to remove without Desolvit! Within 30 minutes or so it peels off easily and washes any residue easily off with soap and water. After all these years I finally need more. The big store doesn't have it anymore, so I'm glad to find it on Amazon for an excellent price!Customer Review: The Best

There is no other cleaner I know of that can come close to equaling this when it comes to removing sticky, greasy or oily stains. I work in a photo studio and we use lots of photo mount adhesive spray. In spite of our best efforts, the stuff gets all over our acrylic tables. Just a little of the De-Solv-It spray gets the glue right off. We had tried many cleaners before with little success. You do have to be careful not to use too much, and you need to clean off the De-Solv-It residue with water, as it will leave oils if not cleaned off, but it is a wonderful cleaner. We also use it on gum stains, Chinese food stains, you name it. Finally, the citrus smell is quite pleasant. Can't say that about too many other cleaners.Customer Review: Best sticky stuff remover period.

This is a great product. Made from all natural ingredients. Safe for pets and children. Can be used on almost all surfaces. Smells nice. Variations of this are used in emergency medicine for sticky bandage removal and, it is also used for oil spill clean up.
There are a number of other adhesive cleaners out there but this is one of the oldest, best, and environmentally safe options you can use.
If peeling a label off slowly fails, I use De-Solv-It on tough label and sales tag adhesive on products I buy like DVDs, CDs, ceramics, etc.
This is also an essential tool for flea market, auction house, and thrift store shoppers and sellers.

I love this product. I used to buy this at Walmart but they have decided to carry the product(Goo-Gone) that doesn't necessarily clean better but gets more commercial time on TV. Desolvit works great on clothing even if you don't notice the stain until after it has been washed AND dryed. I also found that you cannot let the product set over night or for a long period of time. This will leave a ring type mark on the clothing. If that does happen just respray the clothing and wash immediately. I always have a couple of bottles on hand for friends and family too!Customer Review: desolvit is excellent

I used this to get dark wood stain (with the polyurethane in it) out of light beige apartment carpet. They didn't even know that I spilled almost an entire quart. Desolvit is also great for getting sticky labels off of things. I had an older spice set that I was going to get rid of because I couldn't get the old labels and glue off of the white lids. I had scrubbed, used rubbing alcohol, and soaked in hot water w/o and success. I used Desolvit and had the 16 lids clean in about 10 minutes. Love that it smell good too...not like a cleaner.
