Excellent product - use this one to review my usage on my appliances - Frig, coffee maker, Freeze TV etc). Got rid of my old freezer and old TV once I was able to visualize usage. Also, use it's brother on my back-up generator - AC outlet (more than a few electrical outages in Yaak, MT.) It allows me to set the generator to it's proper running speed for the correct voltage output instead of running it full bore. I use this house one to monitor the voltage output from my generator to household and appliances while I am in the house. Especially love it when I don't have to go outside and into the shed to check on AC output on those freeze your buns off times when the electrical grid and mother nature get in a battle.Customer Review: As advertised, works well

I bought this product to charge my Electric vehicle and get an idea of how much electricity I'm using for a given trip. It works very well and I've not seen any problems as of yet. I did not go through the checking and calibration procedures as others have because I simply need an idea and am not selling KWH's. The instructions are very lame but with a little fumbling around in the basic menus it's real easy to figure out. I agree with several other postings that a back up battery would be nice to view data when it's unplugged but that would only add to the price. A cheap lamp extension cord at the bench could act as a data reader when not in use. Very nice little gadget. Buy one, you'll not regret it!Customer Review: Paid for itself already!

I purchased the Kill A Watt to find out where we could try to save energy costs. I spent a few days plugging different appliances into the Kill A Watt and found many areas where we were just throwing money away. It was very easy to use. The only "complaint" I would have is really just an inconvenience in being able to read the device in some places that are hard to get to. I ended up just bringing an extension cord around the house to the different areas so I would be able to access the buttons on the Kill A Watt and read the display more easily. I expect to recuperate the cost of this item within the first month of making changes based on the readouts - can't wait for my electric bill next month!Customer Review: Handy Little Item

Bought this item and tried it, It seems to work very well. I read a post complaining that the timer etc started as soon as it was plugged in....well, it does do that, but the instructions say to push the RESET key to start the readings from zero. The only downside is I wish it had a battery so you could unplug the unit and the item you're testing to easier look at your readings. (Some things I tested cover the readings while testing) I don't have a huge use for it, but it is very interesting to compare what different items use power wise. This model is better than the cheaper model because of the more detailed power consumption / cost calculations it does. Glad I bought this unit.Customer Review: Excellent diagnostic tool

Kill-a-Watt P4460: For about $30 this product is a terrific value. It is a more advanced version of the P4400 "Kill-a-Watt" which I also own. It does everything the P4400 does (volts, amps, watts, KWH, VA, PF, Hz, & elapsed time), but in addition, it has an internal "power-off" memory, and a KWH cost calculator (enter your specific KWH rate and it will calculate actual dollar cost). 120 VAC only, 15 amps maximum. I've had my P4400 for over a year and it works perfectly. A very well made device. I strongly recommend it. Some technical knowledge is suggected. The only improvements I can suggest to this device is the addition of a short power input cord and a illuminated display.
