Even if you are not into the details, this fiendishly clever little box makes it easy to understand where your electricity goes. Unlike its less expensive brother, the few extra dollars you spend here make this effortless. I entered my kWh price once, and now I can move it from plug to plug and find out how much energy things use. I found out the extra refrigerator in the garage costs less than $5 a month to run (in the winter) and I look forward to checking again in the summer. If you even think you want one of these, buy this one, it is so "EZ" to use!Customer Review: it works and pretty accurate too.

The price is right on this little gadget. I agree with prior reviews saying a "backlight" would really help (Yeah, a flashlight is an option but where is it when you need it.).I tested mine with a 60 watt bulb, read 61 watts. Close enough.Found that my computer power factor (efficiency) is 74% contributing to dirty power, my new refrigerator power cost is $4.80 / month @ .16 per KWH.
Well worth it considering other meters are $78, $155, and $300 for a similar item.
Buy it, learn to use it, you'll like it.

This unit does exactly as described. I wanted to measure the power consumed by my outdoor Christmas lights which are plugged into one of the outdoor sockets of the house. The lights are controlled with a light sensitive switch which has a maximum switch capacity of 10 A. As I have been adding lights every year I wanted to ensure not to exceed the switch rating. With the P4460 this was a very easy task. Just plug it into the socket, plug in the lights and there the current was shown. This product does an excellent job of indicating current power use, as well as historical use per hour/day/month/year (estimated based on usage thus far).
I have the usual criticisms about how it should come with a power cord so viewing the values would be easier ... but I've gotten around that by using a power strip that can take upto 1800 Watts.
I'd highly recommend this product. For the price, you get more than what you get in a lot of other items you might buy on Amazon! -ag

does exactly what u want it 2. tells you very easily and quickly how much your electricity cost is for any device(s) plugged into it is. immediately know the cost if the device is on continuously. Leave the device plugged to get the "real" cost over time for devices which cycle on and off ie. a lamp you don't use all the time... your refrigerator.
plug in your kwh cost and it will display daily, monthly, annual cost to run the device. plus a power strip into it to track multiple devices
