Renaissance wax was developed for use on the British Museums priceless antiques, this special blend of micro-crystalline waxes will not stain or discolor with aging. After having this recommended by everyone I talked to who used it, I ordered a can. First thing I tried it on was my jointer table. (cast iron)

I cleaned the table completely, rubbed it down with a Scotchbrite pad, cleaned that off with mineral spirits. The wax took even more dirt off as it was being rubbed in. I didn't expect that. The table never looked so good. No film left afterward to show fingerprints or smears. The wood pushed through afterwards acted like it was on a bed of Teflon. Amazing!

I next tried it on our Dining room table. So easy to use. Very little effort needed to buff it off. Way better than any paste wax I've ever used before. Amazingly, no fingerprints or smears whatsoever afterwards.

I don't know how long it will be before needing recoated yet, but so far I'm seriously impressed.

Also, athough the price is pretty high for the amount you get, the actual amount you need to use on any particular piece is almost insignificant. I figure this 200ml can will be able to be passed on to my kids. I can't tell looking into the can that I even used any of it, it is so efficient.
