I have limited shop space and have to wheel my tools to the shop wall when not in use. This hose collapses so small it allows me to maneuver and store my tools without regard to bulky rigid dust collection hose. I use it on a Ross 12 inch drum sander, Ryobi table saw, Delta 14 inch Bandsaw, Jet mini wood lathe, and Delta/Rockwell 6 inch belt sander. It works great and has never failed under sometimes heavy use. It's a bargain to me.Customer Review: Great Value

I considered for my small shop adding a permanent system with grounded PVC ductwork, but decided to go with the quick disconnect on the end of a flexible hose instead (much much cheeper with less planning required).
So far so good.
I recommend grounding the wire that is in the the hose, the hose can and will build up static electricity which at the least is a little jarring when it discahrges on you (or worse causes a fire).

I used this hose to connect my jointer to a dust collection system. As the jointer is mobile (on casters), I needed a flexible and retractable connection from the jointer to the dust collection blast gate. This hose fit the bill to a "T". It's tough enough to be dragged across the concrete floor, and retracts well when the jointer is put back against the wall.Customer Review: Perfect for the Job

When I read the other reviews I had my reservations about purchasing but thought, "What the heck" for the price you can't go wrong. I used it to run my main lines on the ceiling to my Y and T connections. 50' WOW does that go a long way in a good size shop. I used a different type of hose for my drops so I have no problem with collapsing.Customer Review: Worth the price....

This hose is worth the price, its not heavy duty but your getting 50ft so for a small to medium size shop you will be happy with it. To me it's a little thicker than a dryer vent hose just to give you an idea.
