Pur Water PUR FM8100 - Faucet Mounted Water Filter - It's the Ultimate in water filtration! Reduces lead, mercury, asbestos, MTBE and TTHMs to provide clean, healthy, great-TASting water for you and your family.Eliminate harmful chemicals and unseemly odors and flavors from tap water with this faucet-mounted, vertical filtration system from Pur. The new Ultimate filtration line improves on Pur Advantage models, eliminating additional contaminants such as cadmium. It also reduces cryptosporidium, giardia, lead, mercury, asbestos, copper, zinc, and sediment 96 to 99.99 percent, plus lowers chlorine levels and lessens discoloration.
This stylish, chrome-plated system attaches to the faucet head--so water flows directly through the filter to the sink. Assembly instructions, including a video, are available on the Pur Web site. Tilting the filter back allows unfiltered water through for household chores such as dishwashing.
Water flows through the system at a rate of 2-1/2 liters per minute with pressure levels of 60 PSI. An automatic safety monitor (ASM) notifies users when it's time to replace the filter. Filters last approximately two to three months and may be purchased in bulk. While Pur filters rid water of many harmful chemicals, coloration, and bad flavors, they do not soften water or remove fluoride. This item weighs 3 pounds when shipped. --Jessica Reuling

Customer Review: Don't waste your money

Don't waste your money on this device. It doesn't last past the first filter, as putting a replacement in apparently causes all of the seals to fail, and the ergonomic design means the water leaking out of the filter indicator that is unfiltered mixes in with the filtered water coming out of the device, so that you, at best, get slightly cleaner water, but not filtered.
I've never been more disappointed in a device, what's the point if you have replace both the filter AND the faucet mount every time the filter runs out?
